For 30 years Alanis Morissette has been one of the most influential women in contemporary music with her deeply expressive song-writing and performances earning vast critical praise. Her 1995 debut album Jagged Little Pill was followed by nine more eclectic and acclaimed albums and her music and most notable hits Ironic, You Oughta Know, Hand In My Pocket and Thank U remain as current today.
Special guests
Krezip
Since their breakthrough in 2000, the band has made a significant impact on the Dutch music scene. Following their legendary performance at Pinkpop, the entire Netherlands was captivated by the mega-hit I Would Stay. In the years that followed, Krezip became a staple of the scene with multiple successful albums and timeless hits such as Out of My Bed, Sweet Goodbyes, Lost Without You, and Make It a Memory (featuring Danny Vera). A special evening featuring two icons, both nationally and internationally.
K’s Choice
K’s Choice, founded by brothers Gert and Sam Bettens, has evolved from a grunge band that scored a global hit with “Not an Addict” into a nuanced mainstay of the Belgian music scene. The raw rock the band played was eventually replaced by a more intimate and confessional style at the turn of the millennium. In 1996, Alanis Morissette saw them at Rock am Ring and was so impressed that she asked the band to open for her on her U.S. tour. It was an international turning point for the band: that year, K’s Choice played daily on American soil for audiences of around 20,000 people. “Not An Addict” even made it into the top five of the “Alternative Charts” as one of the biggest hits of that year.
Ruti
British artist Ruti is a powerful vocal presence who creates music that feels deeply lived-in. Her songs occupy a quiet, cinematic space between folk, alternative pop, and singer-songwriter storytelling, and in terms of atmosphere, they align more closely with artists like Labi Siffre, Michael Kiwanuka, Leon Bridges, and Florence + The Machine than with any specific genre. Her upcoming project draws on that world with songs that could serve as the soundtrack for a movie’s closing scene or that could bring an entire audience to complete silence during a live performance.
